Sad to hear by telephone today of the passing of Mike Phillips.
I first came under Mike’s influence when promoted to one of the WARC conversion teams in 1985. He remained my manager right up until the days of RFCPU and my retirement in late 2000.

Hello Mike,

I left the army in 1967 but although trained as Field, unfortunately I was on aircraft at the time and dealing with VHF. The A41 was an HF field equpt as far as I recall.

Thanks for the possible lead Bob. The regional offices were a bit of a mystery to me as I never had direct dealings with them. One name I seem to remember was Laurie Atkinson, who I think worked out of Manchester Office - would it be him by any chance?
