This photo was taken mid January 2008 at one of several dinners which had been arranged to celebrate the retirement of Billy Coombes.
Billy joined the Directorate in 1967 at the Shapwick Regional Depot and then transfered to Bridgend. He was later promoted to SWT at the Cwmbran Detachment looking after Gwent Police and Fire services. After privatisation he has been employed by Gwent Constabulary. In the photograph you have the ex Directorate personel who attended.
