DIRECTORATE OF TELECOMMUNICATIONS
HEADQUARTERS

Events - Ken Stepney Retirement

Introduction
This page contains a photograph taken around 1991 marking the retirement of Ken Stepney. From memory I believe Ken started with the Directorate at Billinge sometime during the 1960’s then moved on promotion to SWT Warwickshire Detachment in early 1970, just before I transferred there as a WT later that year. He was promoted to CWT working in the Midland Regional Office located at Calthorpe House, Birmingham, around 1976 and remained there until his retirement.

Photograph Credits
My thanks go to Alan Wood for the photo and identifying, with the assistance of Bryn Oliver, many of the people seen below, and to John Crossfield for filling in some of the missing names.
